Update page
This update page is to keep the regular visitors up-to-date on the latest movements on the Shire's website. Whether it's a small correction, or a major overhaul, it'll be listed here... Thursday, March 22nd, 2001--Updated the Resources section removing over 75 dead links and updating sites that have moved. Also added a couple of links. Will be adding more links soon. Wednesday, March 21st, 2001---OK, so the one thing that never gets updated is the update page, well finally it is. I have, in the recent days updated the Populace page to reflect all of the officer changes, and updating a few e-mail address. Also, Herald's Point is back. Currently only 7 of the Shire members devices are up, but as soon as I get more I'll add them. As for pictures of our Shire members, they should be coming back soon. There will be a photoshoot at one of our upcoming meetings, so I'll have pics for the Populace page shortly. That's it for now, hopefully, I'll remember to update this page more
often.
Saturday July 1st, 2000--- Well it's been awhile since anything was noted on the update page. I'm now officially the webminister of the shire. I'm currently updating the populace page and should have the pictures and device back up in the near future. Other then that there hasn't been much change. Wednesday, October 27th, 1999---I, Gylys MacEwan, Deputy Webmaster, have taking over the updating and expansion of the Shire website. I have just updated and fixed the problems with the populace page. Due to unknown reasons, the account the populace page and Herald's Point were on, was canceled. Due to this, the picture links on the populace page are still down, as well as, Herald's Point. Please be patient, as I'm working on getting the pictures and devices that were lost. I have finished The websites for the Marshal's Office and the Librarian's Office. That's three officer sites done so far. Please take the time to check them out. And finally, we've had over 1750 hits, wow
almost to the 2000 mark, hopefully we'll hit that by the new year.
Monday, May 10th, 1999---Updated all pages with the correct email address for webmaster contact. (I'm now using Nettaxi instead of Juno since it's a POP3 server that also allows attachments.) Have started the Officer Reports page updates. Wednesday, April 21st, 1999---Hit counter breaks 1200!!! Updated populace page. Not many additions over last month due to Easter/Gulf Wars/Officer changes/etc. That's about to change... Thursday, March 25th, 1999---Updated Officers' Reports for Librarian and Seneschal. WE HIT 1100 HITS!!! (I never thought that this would take off so well...) Also, did major upkeep on the Trimaris Webring, setting it up on it's own site. Wednesday, March 24th, 1999---Updated all pages, removing extra pages from all navigation bars. All pages now refer back to their originating pages (if any) and the main page, to keep maintenance down! Moved Populace and Heraldry pages to a different server (www.FreeZ.com) to remedy the pop-up window problem that the new "Xoom navigation bar" has left me with. (Please excuse the adds running at the top of the page! It's only on those two pages, and anything else that might need special scripting in the future...) Sunday, March 8th, 1999---Uploaded revised Event page, Populace page, and update page. Wednesday, March 3rd, 1999---Updated the Main page, showing the new meeting location and times, and the map page now has map to the St Petersburg Public Library's Main Branch. Friday, Feb19th, 1999---Uploaded the revised Resources section (3rd edition), adding 4 new sections: Comedy and Humor, ABC's of the SCA-Newcomers' Selections, Webrings, and Fiber Arts. LOTS of new URLS added to all sections, especially the Heraldry section. Friday, Feb 12th, 1999---Uploaded lots more updated, including more Reports pages, a complete overhaul of the Populace page (again) and the Main page, and installed the first section of the "Herald's Point". Cleaned out the garbage links and graphics. Thursday, Feb 11th, 1999---Had server problems during the week, so finally got the new updates on the Main page, Populace page, Calendar page, the Event page, and the Reports page. Got all of the photos on the Populace page. (Finally...) Restructuring of the graphics on the entire site may lead to broken graphics, but will hopefully have them all fixed soon. (Unix servers are case sensitive, so any discrepancy will leave a broken graphic.) Thursday, Jan 28th, 1999---Updated the populace list, added several more photos, and a device. Uploaded the third issue of the Horn of Narval. Added the direct link on the main page for the "Trimaris.theme" that's being stored on the !!!Trimaris by Torchlight!!! site, the space for which has been graciously donated by Gekko. (Thanks to Adsiltia for letting me use the scanner!!!) Friday, Jan 22nd, 1999---Changed the "Event" page; now has reprints of the thank you letters that went out on the Trimaris Lyst-Serve. Friday, Jan 1st, 1999---Updated the populace list, added the first 3 photos (finally!!!). Friday, Dec 18th, 1998---Updated the entire Winter Art/Sci section; added many new classes, fighters info, and the schedule. Will post on the Shire email list that it has been updated. Monday, Nov 20th, 1998---Updated the main page and added the Yule Revel page. Solicited the page to the Trimaris lyst-serve, the Shire email group, and the other local Shires/Baronies. Advertised the site on several newsgroups. Sunday, Nov 19th, 1998---Updated the Winter Art/Sci page, (with new classes in all categories), the Populace page, the Reports page, and the Credits page. Redid all java-mouseover pages to straight text format for left-hand menu bars, (looks much better, and will load a lot faster...) Reformatted several pages for appearance and loadability. Saturday, Nov 18, 1998---Got website listed (or relisted) on about 30 Search Engines. Did general housekeeping, removed old files and checked all links/graphics for loadability. Started update on several pages. Sorted bookmarks in preparation for update of the Resources section. Monday, Nov 9th, 1998---Installed the Update page itself, and updated ALL of the resource pages, the Winter Art/Sci page, and the Populace page. The server was down for a while, and loading the new pages was a pain!!! Put out notices about new URL, event, and resources on Trimaris Lyst-serve, SCA newsgroups, and populace email group. |
