In My Own Words

Well since you came in here I suppose you really do want to know a little about me.*S* I am 50 something *grin* and I have been on the internet for almost 8 years. It has really been quite a learning process and there have been good times and bad times and lots of crashes along the way.I have also met some wonderful people and made friendships that I hope last a lifetime.

I work for a small home town grocery store. We still use the older cash registers (no scanners for us) and each item in the store is individually priced which is a dying thing in grocery stores now-a-days. I love my job and it is a wonderful place to work. I work on the register and in the meat department. The store I work in has been around for many many years and we are well known for the produce we sell and the fact that we have baggers that carry our customers groceries out for them...personally. The store just has a wonderful relationship with its customers.

Now for the hard part...... in 1991 on July 12TH my world changed forever. I was outside mowing my yard (push mower)and all of a sudden I got very tired and hot. I went inside to rest for a moment and something just was not quite right I was not hurting I was feeling very sleepy and dizzy. Not being able to shake the feeling that something was wrong I called my brother(Tony) and asked him to come and get me (I was home alone) and he did. Between the two of us I decided to go to the hospital and so when I got there I was still weak and dizzy (No Pain). My brother asked me if I could walk in or did I need a wheelchair and I said oh heck I can walk in there. Which I did and when I went through the double doors in the emergency room, that was it, I passed out. To shorten this story I had a massive heartattack and they had to shock me then and another time later that night. In other words folks I died twice that day and God brought me back with the help of some wonderful doctors and great nurses. I got along really well after that,up until March of 1996. Then I had to have a triple bypass and so far things are going pretty good for me health wise anyhow. Just let me say right here that you really don't realize how very much you value your life until you almost lose it. Then you kinda do a reality check.

Now some good things to talk about. In 1992 I moved about a 100 miles from where I was living to stay with the company I was working for, because they were busy downsizing. So I moved from the town and family that I loved. Me and my two daughters Jamie and Courtney. I moved back to my hometown in June of 1998 after both of my daughters got married and had lives of their own.

Now my oldest daughter,Jamie, is married to a wonderful man named Jon and has a beautiful daughter of her own,Tori. Tori was born on my birthday!! That was a very good year!! *Big Smile* Jamie had my 3rd grand child on August 25, 1999 and I now have another grandson, his name is Ragan and he is just the sweetest baby in the world with a wonderful happy personality. I feel like such a very lucky grandmother or as my grandchildren have named me, MeeMaw.*S*

My youngest daughter,Courtney is married to a wonderful man named Todd(had to say that for the sake of my grandchildren LOL) and they have my first grandchild Chase and just recently (February 2nd, 2001) had my 4th grandchild, another boy and his name is Hayden. Chase and Hayden are just totally awesome grandsons and Chase and I have a very special relationship and I am sure that Hayden and I will have also. Good looking guys too!! They live about a 100 miles from me in the foothills of North Carolina and Todd works in a prison and Courtney works part-time in a department store. They are both wonderful parents and I am very very proud of them. I feel like such a very lucky lucky mother and grandmother...uh or have I already said that once.*S* Well it is definitely true.*S*

In my spare time I love sports. Most any sport, but mainly football, baseball, and racing. I love,I like to watch the races on TV and mostly I pull forTerry Labonte since he is from the town I live in.

I don't watch a lot of TV but my favorite show is JUDGE JUDY!! I love the way she handles herself with her subjects and how she inter-acts with the Balif. She tells it like it is and that is the way it should be. I try to watch her every time I get an opportunity.

My handle on the internet is ncgirlover45 ,long huh?!?!? But it does answer so many questions.*S* When I first started chatting I used over45.....well then everyone would say are you M or F and so I changed it to ncgirlover45. So now everyone knows immediately that I am a F (well almost everyone) *sigh* and from NC and a general idea of my age.*S* I also use the handle twuzzie mostly on Pogo My favorite place to play games!!

I hope this gives you a little better insight about me and my beautiful family and I hope that I haven't bored you too much......to be continued......
