Cid's dream was to fly among the stars in his rocket. This dream almost came through until something went wrong with the rocket. Now, the rocket sits slightly tilted, a great monument in Rocket Town and a constant reminder of how Cid's dream was crushed. He is an expert pilot who enjoys flying and flying off at the mouth. Cid is a strong fighter and moderate magic user.
Where you meet him: He's aboard the rocket when you visit Rocket Town. Rufus visits the town at the same time trying to borrow Cid's plane, the Tiny Bronco. Palmer talks to him about possibly restarting the space program, but Cid is suspicious. He doesn't like Palmer. After a fight with Plamer, Cloud and company take the Tiny Bronco and pick up Cid on the way out. However, their flight is short lived as Shinra soldiers fire away at the plane, forcing it to crash into the sea. It can no longer fly, but it does make a suitable boat. Cid joins the team just because they're crazy enough to stand up to Shinra.
Level 4 Limit Break - Highwind
Cid calls upon the airship Highwind to fire about 20 missles at all of your enemies, which do light damage (1000-2000) each. You can find this in the Downed Shinra Plane.
Most Powerful Weapon - Venus Gospel
Go back to Rocket Town after the event where you get the Huge Materia from the rocket. Talk to the old guy outside of the house on the upper left that liked to look at the rocket and he'll give you the Venus Gospel. It's attack power increases with Cid's current MP level.
