Conviction is divided into permanent and temporary ratings, the Permanent rating is the rating on a character sheet. The temporary rating is akin to the temp. ratings used for Willpower, with one exception. Whenever conviction is risked and the roll is successful, a temporary point is gained. Through risking, it is possible to go above your permanent rating. Every day though, your conviction score returns to your Permanent rating. This does not apply to situations where you have dropped below your Permanent rating through failed or botched rolls. Failing down to 0 conviction will make change the wait to three days to return to base. Botching down to 0 conviction means that the character will remain at 0 Conviction for one week.
