Jasc/Corel's Paint Shop Pro.

Mura Meister Cloud Filter.

Tube of Choice  -  For this tutorial, I used a delightful image created by Suzanne Woolcott.  You can purchase her wonderful art in tube and full form at AMI which stands for Artistic Minds, Inc. 

Supplies Included are KK Stencil Flowers and Lori's Little Flowers and Dragonflies Doodles. Lori has awesome doodles.  She now has her own blog, located here,  where you can download all of her wonderful graphics.

 

SETTINGS USED IN THIS TUTORIAL

 

Magic Wand:

Mode: Add/Shift, Match Mode: RGB Value, Tolerance +/-20 (depending on your PSP version), Contiguous checked, Feather: 0, Anti-Alias checked and outside selected.

Drop Shadow:

(1)Vertical Offset 1, Horizontal Offset -1, Opacity 40, Blur 4, Color Black

(2)Vertical Offset -1, Horizontal Offset 1, Opacity 40, Blur 4, Color Black

(3)Vertical Offset 2, Horizontal Offset 2, Opacity 80, Blur 5, Color Black

Step 1

Open a new transparent image 550 width by 550 height and the tube graphic you will be using.

At the Material Palette, in the top color box, select any solid color for your frame (this will change later).

Flood fill the transparency with this color.

Step 2

Go to Image/Resize using the percent option at 80%, bicubic and resize all layers NOT checked.

Step 3

Go to Layers/Duplicate.  Go to Image/Resize using the percent option at 85%, bicubic and resize all layers NOT checked.

Step 4

Left click the magic wand using the settings from above and left click inside the duplicate layer so that you see it is selected. Click the delete key but do not deselect.

Step 5

Open up the layer palette, go the bottom layer and again hit the delete key. Go to Selections/Select None.

Step 6

Go to Layers/Merge/Merge Visible.

Step 7

Go to Effects/3D Effects/Drop Shadow and apply drop shadow #1

Go to Effects/3D Effects/Drop Shadow and apply drop shadow #2

Step 8

Left click the magic wand inside the transparent rectangular section of the frame and go to Selections/Modify/Expand 6.

Step 9

Go to Layers/New Raster Layer.

Step 10

At the Material Palette, in the top color box, select a light color that works with your tube graphic.  In the bottom color box, select a darker color from the same color group.

Left click the top color box and when the color selection window opens up, select gradient, foreground/background, linear style, with angle and repeats set to 0. 

Flood fill the selection with this gradient but DO NOT DESELECT.

Step 11

Go to Layers/Arrange/Send to Bottom but DO NOT DESELECT.

Step 12

Make the tube image active and go to Edit/Copy. Make the tag image active and go to Edit/Paste as New Layer.

If the image is too large, go to Image/Resize using the percent option, bicubic and resize all layers Not checked. 

Step 13

Left click the mover tool and place the image within the selection.  Go to Selections/Invert, click the delete key and go to Selections/Select None.

Step 14

Go to Effects/3D Effects/Drop Shadow and apply drop shadow #3.

Step 15

Go to Layers/Merge/Merge Visible.

Step 16

Open up the KK Stencil Flowers. Copy and paste one of the flowers to the left corner of the frame and apply drop shadow #3.

Go to Image/Rotate/Free Rotate/Direction Left/Free/15 degrees.

Step 17

Go to Layers/Duplicate and Image/Mirror. Left click the mover tool and move the flower to the top right corner of the frame.

Step 18

Go to Layer/Duplicate and Image/Flip and place the flower on the bottom right corner of the frame.

Step 19

Go to Layers/Duplicate and Image/Mirror and place the flower on the bottom left corner of the frame.

Step 20

Go to Layers/Merge/Merge Visible.

Step 21

Open up the Lori's little flowers and dragonflies doodles.  Using the freehand selection tool, draw a select around one of the flowers and copy and paste that selection inside your frame.  Do not apply the image  directly to your frame but do apply it inside the frame area as a new layer. 

Continue adding whichever flower or dragonflies you wish to add applying each to a separate layer and go to Layers/Merge/Merge Visible.

Step 22

Go to Layers/New Raster Layer and add your copyright information to the tag making sure it is not placed on the frame portion.

We will add the text later after applying the animation.

Step 23

Go to Layers/Merge/Merge All (flatten) so that you only have 1 layer.

Step 24

Left click the magic wand and left click on your frame to select it.  Keep clicking the magic wand on all areas of the frame so that the entire frame is selected.

Go to Layers/Duplicate.  Do this once more so you have a total of three layers.

Step 25

Open up the layer palette and make sure you are on the bottom layer.

Go to Effects/Plugins/Mura Meister/Cloud and use these settings:

 

 

 

Do not Deselect.

Step 26

If you want different color cloud background, rather than the blue, at the material palette select the color you want.  Left click the top color box and when the color selection window opens up, write down the hue and saturation of that color. 

Go to Adjust/Hue and Saturation/Colorize and type in the hue and saturation amounts.

Do not Deselect.

Step 27

Go to the middle layer and repeat Step 25 applying Cloud filter but change the amount to 107 and leave everything else as is.

If you colorized your clouds, go to Adjust/Hue and Saturation/Colorize and click ok.

Do not deselect.

Step 28

Go to the top layer and repeat Step 25 applying the Cloud filter but change the amount to 119 and leave everything else as is.

If you colorized your clouds, go to Adjust/Hue and Saturation/Colorize and click ok.

Go to Selections/Select None.

Step 29

Make sure all your layers are open (no red X's on the eyes on any of the layers) and save this file as a psp or psd file.  We will animate the frame in animation shop, save the template, and lastly will add the text.  Doing it this way allows you to be able to use your tag multiple times for friends and group members.  Click here to continue.
