Black Magick is counterproductive because it is simply the observance of the intent to do harm to another or yourself. We all know this is detrimental to ones being within this life as well as the next. Sometimes it's hard to see, but the world works in mysterious ways and karma is always the rule of thumb for the Magician. So if you want to avoid "Black Magick", do a divination with the Tarot or another system to find out what the outcome of the Work will be. This is a very common and tested method to forsee and overcome what your subconcious intent as well as concious intent may be. This technique will reveal whether you are going to procure a Work within the realm of Black Magick.
Truly there is no hue to Magick but it is necessary to explain it in such terms in the beginning.
