Utilizing a River to Explore Science and Technology (Workshop)
Fall 2001

This class is actually a one-weekend, one credit course. It was held the weekend of October 13th and 14th (all day both days), and the professor is Dr. Mary Thiry, through UW-Extension. I took it in the hopes that it would give me some ideas for my day job.

The initial project that I'm doing for it was assigned on Saturday to be due on Sunday morning. We were told to go to our local watershed (river) and "bring it alive" for the rest of the class. It was purposely kept very open. I decided to use the Rock River and hauled dh out in the rain to take some pictures of various spots along about a two-mile stretch of the Rock. This is what we got.

There will be a second assignment, and also, since I'm doing this for grad credit, there will be an additional project for me, too. Will post as finished.
