Dear Friends and Supporters of Look Into A Book:

Our objective since February 2003 has been to enhance our children’s reading ability and comprehension through literature, history, the arts, civics and beyond. Based on our records, all of our children have improved by at least two reading levels, successfully passed the Citywide and State reading and writing exams with levels of 3 or 4 and have found themselves seeking to read works of literature that many of us have read in our latter years of high school or in college.

Unfortunately, the many activities we sponsor for our youth in addition to rental space for our site, supplies, food and refreshments, field trips, guest speakers, postage for our pin pal program among other things have a cost. Since the inception of this program, I have been supporting Look Into A Book from my personal finances and can no longer do so. Regrettably, we cannot continue to secure a safe environment for learning and development, a successful program or expand by any measure in order to serve our current or additional children and their needs without the support of your resources. We therefore reach out to you, our community of parents, friends, government officials, business owners, foundations and corporations for financial gifts for the enhancement of our varied programs.
