| TRAINING SYLLABUS Here are some of the opportunities offered to Navy League Cadets: -Citizenship and Community Service, -Seamanship classes and ropework, -Sail training (Canadian Yachting Association standard) -Power boat safety training (Boat Wise Standard) -Communications (Restricted Marine Radio, Morse Code, Semaphore) -First Aid (accredited St. John's Ambulance or Red Cross), -Air rifles safety ( in accordance with provincial regulations), -Outdoor adventure training (survival, map and compass), -Play and compete in swimming and team sports, -Music (many cadet corps operate marching bands), and -Lots of opportunities to make new friends |
