Civil Registry System - Information Technology Project (CRS-ITP)

Background

- Computerization of civil registry operations of the NSO

- Joint undertaking with UNISYS

- 12-year multi-phase project under the Build-Operate-Transfer scheme

- Designed to collect, store and manage civil registry documents & specimen signatures of all C/MCRs, including all CRS authorized signatories

- Conversion of 120M documents into digital format using imaging technology

CRS-ITP Objectives

- Enhance public service delivery;

- Organize, manage and maintain a complete and accurate database of civil registry documents and information;

- Minimize the falsification and fabrication of documents;

- Improve NSO's computing capability and

- Contribute to a better life not just for the public but also for NSO personnel
