What do you know about New Zealand in October? | ||
October is the second month of our spring. The weather is changeable and it often rains but there are rainbows and there is sometimes snow in the mountain areas. It is also fine with a beautiful blue clear sky and you can get sunburnt at the end of the month. Birds are busy making nests, some plum, cherry, apple and nut trees have small fruit growing and love is in the air! Daylight Saving was the last weekend in September this year so most people are starting to make use of their time outside after work. Labour Weekend includes the fourth Monday so some people go away for a short holiday. And of course the last night of the month is Halloween! Rugby and netball are still important although cricket and softball games start. It's also the last month for skiing and snowboarding in the mountains. This site always has new stuff every month so come back soon!! See 'This months activities' or links (also in the menu bar above for more culture.) Help us make this site better. At the moment we are paying for everything. Buy our books! All donations ($$) are also gratefully accepted. Thanks!
