Privacy Policy
and Statement:
PLEASE READ THESE PRIVACY STATEMENTS CAREFULLY BEFORE USING THE
OCPWORLD.COM WEBSITE ("OCPW", "Company",
"We", "Us", "Our", "Our Site",
"Our Company"). THE PROVISIONS OF PRIVACY POLICY ARE ALL PART
OF THIS AGREEMENT AND ARE INCORPORATED HEREIN BY REFERENCE.
OCP World Inc., ("OCPW", "Company",
"We", "Us", "Our", "Our Site",
"Our Company"), is a Consulting Services firm offering
services in the Oracle(TM) and complementary technologies.
Additionally, OCPW is involved in providing special teams of Oracle
Certified Professionals ("OCP") - to our partners, clients,
customers and consulting projects. We attract this specially talented
group of candidates by providing an on-line job-posting and
candidate-matching service. "You" or "user" refers
to any person or entity which accesses or uses Our web site or service
(collectively, the "System").
Privacy Overview. OCPWorld.com is committed to protecting the
privacy of our users. We want to provide a safe, secure user
experience. We will use our best efforts to ensure that the information
you submit to us remains private, and is used only for the purposes as
set forth herein. The following reflects our commitment to you.
Information about our Web Site visitors. We gather information
about all of our users collectively, such as what areas users visit
most frequently and what services users access the most. We only use
such information in the aggregate and not on an individual basis. This
information helps us determine what is most beneficial for our users,
and how we can develop a better overall website for our users. This
information may be shared with our partners, but only in the aggregate,
so that they too may develop a better overall career website for you,
as well.
Although most parts of the Services do not require you to be a
Member (and you can therefore use them without submitting any
"personally identifiable information," that is, information
that relates to an identified individual), some areas - such as our
detailed online profiles and resource areas - require you to log into
our site. In order to become a Member, individuals are required to
provide us with (a) an e-mail address and a unique user name and
password, as well as certain personally identifying and other
information such as the Member's zip code, country, industry and
occupation and (b) before making a purchase, the Member's name,
address, phone number, payment information (including credit card
information), and other shipping information. Once you complete your
registration, you will be given the opportunity to submit additional
personally identifying information to create an "online
profile" (the "Profile"). In your Profile, we ask for
optional contact information, including demographic information (like
age, or income level). Your contact information is also used to contact
you when necessary. You may op-out of receiving future mailings; see
the choice/opt-out section below. Demographic and profile data are also
collected at our site. We use this data to tailor your experience at
our site, showing you content that we think you might be interested in,
and displaying the content according to your preferences. We also use
demographic information to target advertisements to users from specific
demographics.
OCPW also collects non-personally identifiable information (that is,
information that does not identify a specific individual), such as
aggregate use statistics for the Services, for both visitors and
Members. We collect such non-personally identifiable information in
part through the use of "cookies" - that is, small text files
placed on your computer's hard drive. We collect some basic information
about your computer and Internet connections, including: (1) your IP
address (your computer's unique signature); (2) your operating system
(e.g., Windows or Mac or Unix or Linux); (3) your browser software
(e.g., Internet Explorer or Mosaic or Netscape Communicator); (4) your
Internet Service Provider (e.g., ATT Broadband, MSN, AOL etc.); (5)
your geographic location (e.g., Redwood Shores, CA.); (6) your IP
address. Collecting this information helps us streamline your
experience on the Services - for example, helping us diagnose problems
with our server, administering our Web site, by
"automatically" filling out forms for you, or keeping track
of the contents of your online shopping cart.
OCPW's Services include banner advertising that links to third-party
sites. Please note that our advertisers and their designees, as well as
other third parties, may collect information about you through cookies
or other technologies when you visit their Web site(s). OCPW uses a
third party, DoubleClick, to serve the advertisements that you see on
the pages of our Web site. Although OCPW users cannot opt-out of the
advertising process, DoubleClick offers you the ability to control the
data collection and targeting process by using a "blank" or
"opt-out cookie" to prevent any data from being associated
with your browser or you individually. By denying DoubleClick's
cookies, ads delivered to you by DoubleClick can only be targeted based
on the non-personally identifiable information that is available from
the Internet environment, such as browser type and Internet service
provider. Your DoubleClick opt-out will be effective for the entire
life of your browser or until you delete the cookie file on your hard
drive. To learn more about the information gathering practices and how
to opt-out, please visit our privacy pages at: http://www.ocpworld.com/assets/privacy.htm
OCPW also uses third-party advertising companies or web site
promotional companies who may employ cookie and 1x1 pixel .gif
technology to measure and improve the effectiveness of ads for their
clients. To do so, these companies may use anonymous information about
your visits to our web site and other web sites. This information can
include: date/time of banner ad shown, the banner ad that was shown,
their cookie, the IP address. This information can also be used for
online preference marketing purposes.
Personal Information:
Some information that may be identifiable as yours (your
"Personal Information") is not gathered automatically at the
Site. If you wish to provide Personal Information, you must do so
voluntarily, and you may do so in a number of different ways. The
following are some of the kinds of Personal Information our Site
gathers:
Registration Information:
When you visit at the Site or the e-store sites, you will be asked
for certain Personal Information, such as your name, your street
mailing address, your email address and other information. This
information is maintained on secure servers hosted on vStore.com
e-commerce transaction servers.
Credit Card Information:
If you purchase goods or services on our Site, or other affiliate
sites that are linked via the Site, you will be asked for credit card
information, including your name, account number and expiration date.
This information will not be used for any other purposes; other than to
conduct e-commerce and to complete your transaction; and will be kept
in strict confidence.
Email Information:
When you send us email messages, we may retain the content of your
email messages, together with your email address and our response to
you.
Please Note: OCPW reserves
the right to disclose information submitted by or concerning any
visitor or Member as we reasonably feel is necessary to protect our
systems or business. Specifically, but without limitation, we reserve
the right to disclose such information when a visitor or Member is in
violation of our Terms of Use or other published guidelines, or
partakes (or is reasonably suspected of partaking) in any harmful,
infringing or illegal activity, even without a subpoena, warrant, or
other court order, and to disclose such information in response to
court and governmental orders, civil subpoenas, discovery requests, and
as otherwise required by law, as well as in response to allegations of
infringement. We cooperate with law enforcement agencies in identifying
those who may be using our servers or services for illegal activities.
We also reserve the right to report any suspected illegal activity to
law enforcement for investigation or prosecution, or to suspend or
terminate your membership in connection with any suspected illegal or
infringing activity.
Subject to the foregoing, OCPW uses your personally identifying
information in several ways:
- to customize various aspects of the Services to your preferences;
- to determine which advertisements or sponsor messages will appear
on your screen;
- to send you OCPW solicitations, product announcements, and the
like that we feel may be of interest to you (you may "opt
out" of receiving these materials, as provided below); and
- as may be necessary to support the operation of the Services, such
as for billing, account maintenance, and record-keeping purposes.
OCPW may disclose your personally-identifiable information to third
parties as follows:
- with your authorization, such as when you click on a "submit
order" or similar button when placing an order (your personally
identifiable information will be shared with the merchant
advertising the good or service you wish to purchase, so that such
merchant may complete the transaction and ship the items(s) you have
purchased); and
- if you do not "opt out" of receiving promotional
materials (as discussed below), to third parties who provide goods
or services that we believe may be of interest to you;
- to our contractors and consultants, and professional advisors
(such as attorneys or accountants), but only to the extent necessary
for them to perform services on our behalf, and only under
reasonable disclosure restrictions.
If you provide us with your credit card information, we will not
release that information to third parties unless necessary to complete
a transaction between you and such a third party. (Credit card
transactions are handled by a third-party financial institution, which
receives the credit card number and other personal identifying
information only to verify the credit card numbers and process
transactions.)
Resumes:
Since OCPWorld.com is a consulting services organization and also a
talent matching, jobs posting and career services web site, we give you the option of putting your resume in our
database, to be searched by prospective employers / recruiters or
responding to individual ads with your resume. If you allow your public
resume to be searchable, then all recruiters who access to our resume
database product will have access to your resume. We use our best
efforts to grant access to this database only to recruiters, hiring
managers, headhunters, and human resource professionals. However, we
are not responsible if some other third party, such as someone posing
as the aforementioned and evades security measures and gains access to
the database, and, subsequently, your resume. You may remove your
resume from our searchable database at any time. However, recruiters
who have access to the database may have retained a copy of your resume
in their own files or databases. We are not responsible for the
retention, use, or privacy of resumes in these instances.
