First of all I'd just like to say that the hair on One Life To Live is not so great. And the main reason, is that every woman, basically has the same haircut! It's that bob cut. I'm sure many of you are thinking, "That's, not true..." and no, they don't all have the exact same haircut. But you all have to admit that it's very similar.

With their red hair, Renee, Nora, & Dorian's haircuts look very much alike. As do Viki & Lindsay's but not as much.

Even Jessica has a similar haircut. However, I must say her haircut suits her fine. I like the childlike charm it gives her.

I was actually very disappointed when Tea cut her hair. It made her another typical woman in Llanview.

I'd like to comment Blair, Rosseanne, & Sophia for not resorting to this contagious haircut. But if you look at all three of these women's hairstyles, it's also similar.

I guess to be a woman in Llanview, you've to have either bob cut, or long hair slightly past the shoulders.

The only person that seems to have their own hairstyle in Llanview is Kelly. However, I don't think she looks good in that curly. But I must commend her for being different.

In my last issue I talked about how most women in Llanview basically have one of two haircuts: the famous Bob Cut, and the Plain-Jane hair past the shoulders. Till this day, that still remains true. And not only have I noticed that the hairstyles are similar, but among the elder women, (Renee, Viki, Nora, etc.) their wardrobes appear to be quite similar as well.

But I don’t exactly find this as a fashion offense. All these women are elegantly stylish, the only thing they lack is their own individual style. I do have a few suggestions, which would hopefully help.

Viki: I love Viki’s business suits, but I would definitely recommend some casual clothing, at least when she is not at The Banner. And even if her hair suits her great, I think it’s about time for a change. I would suggest that she reduces the volume of her cut, and let it go a little flatter.

Renee: Renee of all people especially needs a new hairstyle. How long has she had that flat red hair? I would recommend a lighter color with auburn highlights and more volume in her hair. Actually, her and Viki should try switching hairstyles. That would be interesting.

Dorian: I would also recommend a lighter color for Dorian, but Dorian just wouldn’t be the same without her fiery red hair. However, I do think Dorian would look lots better, and younger if she grew out her hair a bit.

Lindsay: Even though Lindsay has the famous Bob, I thing she looks great. Her blond hair definitely brings out her blue eyes. But she is definitely in need of a trim. Her bangs especially seem to hide those beautiful blues.

Nora: And last but not least, Nora. I would not recommend a color change at all. Nora has always been Red and she wouldn’t be the same as a blond or anything else. However, a perm might work in her favor. Her red hair has seemed to have gone dull, and perm just might spice it up!

Tackiest Dressed:
I usually don’t mention guys in this style column because I usually don’t have much to comment on. But Mark Consuelos’s (Mateo, AMC) spotted blazer was just screaming for the fashion police. And I don’t mean to be out of line, but the same goes for his on/off-screen wife, Kelly Ripa (Hayley, AMC). Her salsa-looking dress and her silver blazer would have looked great if she had worn them separately with different things. But together, it was just tacky. And the way they looked together… I won’t even go there.

The way Nancy Grahn (Alexis, GH) was dressed looked a lot as if she had been wearing one of Alexis’s usual suits, then she suddenly decided it was time for the soap awards, so she put on over her suit, a huge skirt that swept the stage.

Could Have Been Better:
Erin Torpey (Jessica) looked very different with her hair back, and quite mature. She also looked pale, like she could use more make-up. Her dress suited her, but she definitely could have done with out those horrible tassels!

Sarah Brown (Carly, GH) looked great in that red dress. But it was a little too plain for her. I think she could have dressed up more. We all know her character on GH does.

The Best Of The Best:
Josh Ryan Evans (Timmy, Passions) with his leather jacket, probably custom made, really had it going on! Out of the guys, he was probably the best dressed.

However, Adrienne Frantz (Amber B&B) and Ashley Cafagna (Kimberly, B&B) were best dressed out of anyone! I loved the way both of them had their up in these complicated hairstyles. Very fashionable. And I loved Adrienne’s black puffy dress. That’s probably the dress I’d choose to wear for a prom. But Ashley’s dress was just to die for! That sleek beige two piece dress was just so stylish and elegant. Even tough both of them didn’t win any awards, they win for best dressed here at One Life Central’s Llanview Style!
