August 7, 2002 Summer Meeting E-mailHey all! It's summer, and for those of you who aren't out of town, it's pretty humid. However, I hope to all that no matter where you are and whatever you may be doing (whether it be the senior mentorship, volunteering, working, watching tv, or checking your e-mail), you are enjoying your summer! Hmm, wait, it's the middle of the summer. Now you must be thinking: what is a Key Club e-mail doing in my inbox?Are you thinking about being an officer for 2003-2004? (Seniors, I know this doesn't apply to you ^_^) Plan on attending they Key Club officer training session on August 7, 2002 at 2 pm. It will be at Zone Administrator's house (Zone Administrator an unfamiliar term? She's in charge of Key Clubs in the Hampton Roads area) and stick around for the divisional meeting (divisional another unfamiliar term? Norfolk and Virginia Beach is our "division"). This is a training session for upcoming officers for 2002-2003, but there's lots of information that I hope will get you knowledgeable on Key Club formalities, functions and structure at a Local (Divisional), District, and International level. If you don't have anything to do August 7th anywhere from 4-8pm, you're invited to a summer cook-out at Mrs. Gates', our Zone Administrator (Zone Administrator an unfamiliar term? She's in charge of Key Clubs in the Hampton Roads area), residence that follows the divisional meeting (divisional another unfamiliar term? Norfolk and Virginia Beach is our "division"). Don't be shy, come on out! (Especially if you don't have anything to do ^_-) Directions to the Gates' residence is below (note: I did use Yahoo! Maps). Our next official meeting that will kick off the school year is September 17! More on that later...
