The word Guru Means dispeller of ignorence. The guru with his fire of knowledge burns down the ignorence of the disciple and lights the lamp of knowledge. So the guru is the embadiment of knowledge. A darshan of the guru is like a darshan of GOD himself. The GURU is Brahma,Vishnu and maheswarar; and even above them the PARA BRAHMAN.
