- DEFINITION OF GURU
- Guru occupies the highest place in the world next only to
God. The word Guru Means dispeller of ignorence. The guru
with his fire of knowledge burns down the ignorence of the
disciple and lights the lamp of knowledge. So the guru is the
embadiment of knowledge. A darshan of the guru is like a
darshan of GOD himself. The GURU is Brahma,Vishnu and
maheswarar; and even above them the PARA BRAHMAN.
Having his darshan, listening to his advices, uttering his holy
name and having a constant visiwon of his in our minds will
give clarity to our thinking. This is not the idea of an
ordinary persons; this is the sacred idea of a sage
thirumoolar who expounded this after an year of
penance. Let us have belief in this, seek the GURU, be raid of
our ignorence and have bliss.

chain of Peetathipatis. He was a reincornation of ADISANKARA and was regarded
all over the world as a LIVING DIVINITY. People used too pour into his
compassionate ears all their problems, from petty admission to schools to
