On July 4, 1776, we claimed our independence from England and Democracy was born.

Every day thousands leave their homeland to come to the "land of the free and the home of the brave" so they can begin their American Dream. The United States is truly a nation made up of dynamic people.

Each year on July 4, Americans celebrate that freedom and independence with barbecues, picnics, and family gatherings.

On this special day, let us remember those who fought and sacrificed for this Great Country, so we are free to enjoy all these things.

The men and women who left home and fought in foreign lands. They left family and friends, jobs and familiar surroundings....

They helped to keep this Great Country, The United States of America, from falling into enemy hands. And thousands upon thousands did not return....they paid the ultimate price. They gave their lives.

Let us also remember those who were captured and those missing in action.

The POW'S and MIA'S.

So on this special day, the 4th of July, let us indeed celebrate.

Let us get together with family and friends. Let the baseball game begin and let the fireworks soar high into the air.

And, while enjoying these things, let us not forget how it was all made possible......

Thank you Veterans, those who are still with us, and who have left us, for the precious gift you have given us.......

"OUR FREEDOM"

The Pledge of Allegiance

I pledge Allegiance to the flag, of the United States of America, and to the Republic, for which it stands, one nation under God, indivisible, with Liberty, and Justice for all.

"GOD BLESS AMERICA"
