There were 7 of us who braved the cold, and not on vacation as Patti called the meeting to order. Our guest, Pam and Carleen became our newest members.Welcome
COMMITTEE REPORTS - The Bake-Off on Saturday was a HUGE success. A few members of the committee met to do a follow up, review and make recommendations for next year. Many thanks to all of the volunteers, our sponsors, the Health Awareness Center, CentraState's Food service, New Jersey Natural Gas, PAL and the Chernow's. The contestants were amazing, and best of all, for $5.00 there was non stop goodies to eat, all proceeds going to Camp Quality. We made about $1482.00, and we also promoted awareness to the community, as well as making the kids aware of the needs of others. We also plan on putting together a cook book of the contestants recipes.
WINTER WARM UP - Margie from Open Door contacted Sharon and will pick up and deliver the food soon.
GAME NIGHT - March 20th. The Excelsior, $45.00 per person, $50.00 at the door, BYOB.
Gifts are coming in for the gift auction, all we need now is for your to SELL, SELL, SELL your tickets. This promises to be a fun filled night. PHOTO CONTEST - Rugby School, April 1st. Once again, Rugby is planning an extraordinary day for us. If anyone has an in with a camera company please let me know. I realize with the present economy no one is giving anything away, but we can hope. Matt Elo, and Pam have agreed to be judges.
SCHOLARSHIPS - Sheila will coordinate the Youth of the Year, and the applications will go out to the schools for the Special Education and Community Service soon. Details for the program have not been confirmed.
