INSTALLATION DINNER - There were 38 of us at LaPiazza as AnnDenise recapped her past two years as president, and honored her board and some members. Mindy Rosenthal received the coveted "President's Award", and Pat Jackson was installed as our newest member. Pat is sponsored by Micki. We presented AnnDenise with a laser expressions picture of her and her family. Also on hand were our two newest members, who will be installed in October, Jeanette and Danny Mory.

What do you get when you have about 40 Nooners and family, 25 fishermen, 10 ARC employees, great food, old friends, perfect weather and a beautiful location......... the annual ARC Fishing Derby. Our friends caught a total of 48 fish, and new comer Michael Roussel won the trophy for biggest fish, which was 7 1/2 inches, and Tia Loffredo won the trophy for most fish caught. The afternoon was so successful that we signed up two new members, well, not really new, Jeanette and Danny were with us many years ago. You can't have a successful event without hard work, thanks to Sheila Saul for chairing, Tim for printing the certificates, the tables and chairs and grilling the burgers and hot dogs, Barbara and Old Country Buffet for the cookies, and all of the Nooners who volunteered with their families. All in all, this was one of the biggest NOONTIME OPTIMISTS ARC Fishing Derbys ever. Click on any photo below to view the larger image and learn about Optimist Happenings!

What more can be said about a week that will forever be etched in a child's life? The week included, friendship, barbecue, crafts, a talent show, pictures, fishing derby, carnival, swimming, more pictures, hot air balloon just to name a few. The day we visited the kids were using the zip line to wing across the other side of the lake. We toured the beautiful grounds and after a delicious dinner, we were treated to a wonderful show featuring Saranne Rothberg, Comedy Cures - http://www.comedycures.org/ Saranne, a stage 4 cancer patient/survivor showed us how laugher rules. To coin a phrase, you had to be there, and I was glad I was. The photos enclosed are of the lake, a few of the kids with their star registry and Saranne, on the floor under the kids during an interactive play. There will be a reunion in late October/November and each child will receive a photo log book featuring the photos of Joe Kienzlen, president of the Jackson club.
