Phonology
The phonemes of Aurogaelb are represented here in X-SAMPA.
Aurogaelb primarily makes use of
thirteen different consonant phonemes. The phoneme /t/ is the only
unvoiced plosive present; it is extremely rare, and is mostly found
only in names and borrowed words.
The majority of consonant phonemes are fricatives, and are found
contasting voiced and voiceless. Although /l/ is the only liquid
phoneme, [r\] is also found phonetically, though it is treated by the
language as part of a diphthong.
The lack of /m/ is interesting, although, it occurs in other dialects
in place of /b/, and sometimes occurs as an allophone of /b/ in Aurogaelb.

Aurogaelb vowels and diphthongs can
be divided into three groups: "lax vowels", "diphthongs", and "tense
vowels". These names are not really as accurate as much as they are
convenient.
