Aurogaelb

Oedheg!
Welcome to the Aurogaelb page. Aurogaelb is a constructed language and dialect of Aurokian, by Chris Johnston, to be spoken by a fictional race of orcs. Other dialects include Árhogailb, Aorogeirlm, and Áwokaerb.
  • Aurogaelb is a fictional diachronic language, belonging to the Goblinoid family of languages.
  • It is a highly inflected language, with many fusional traits.
  • It has a Nominative/Accusative system, which, like English, is only marked among pronouns.
  • Its nouns can have three numbers: singular, partative, and plural.
  • All of its personal pronouns also have three numbers: singular, exclusive plural, and inclusive plural.
  • Aurogaelb uses no prepositions, but makes use of four local cases with broad meanings which are expressed in articles.
  • Aurogaelb has three different classes of article; definite, indefinite and possessive (which is often used to express the genetive).
  • Its lexicon is almost purely unsourced in any existant language. Any similarities to any existant language are to the best of my knowledge purely coincidental.
