Not Ashamed to Worship

Worship. We may worship alot of things. Our home, our car, our money,
there are so many things I could list that it could fill the whole page.
But, that is not the focus of this page. Here, I want to concentrate on
putting Jesus before all. Before everything.

One of the things that truly amazes me is the fact that we can enter
into the presence of our holy God. God tells us that He inhabits
the praises of His people. Do you realize what that means?

WE HAVE ACCESS TO GOD'S PRESENCE!

Doesn't that seem incredible? Well, it is incredible, but it is also
very easy. Worship is the bridge to God's presence,
for He will inhabit your praise!

Do you know the difference between a present and a gift?
A present is something that you are excited about giving.
It is something that you want the receiver to have.
He may not necessarily want it, but you want him to have it.
A present is something that YOU desire to give.

A gift may take a little sacrifice! A gift is something the receiver
wants you to give, regardless how you feel about giving it! You see,
God didn't say 'When you feel like it, worship me.' He didn't say
'When things are going good in your life and you are on top of
the mountain, give me praise.' We are told to worship and praise Him
in all things at all times. Whether we feel like it or not.
Give God the gift of your worship and praise. Don't let it matter
whether you are on the mountain or in the valley,
whether things are going great right now or you
are facing the greatest challenge of your life!

There are three principles to worship. I call them the three P's.
PREPARE
Prepare your heart. In other words, clean out your thoughts.
Forget about everything else and concentrate on Jesus.
PURIFY
Purify your heart. Make sure your motive is pure.
Don't worship with the hope of gain, whether it be financial, healing,
or your current need of the moment.
Worship Him with one motive--to please Him.
PARTICIPATE
Just do it. It doesn't matter if you are alone, or in a
Sunday worship service of 700 people. Give Him your whole heart.
Don't worry what others may think about you, follow the direction
that He is giving you by the Holy Spirit.

He has done so much for us! He loves us so much that He died for us!
In return we should be praising Him constantly. I hope that you will
let go and let God. Enter into His presence. Let Him shower you with
His love and all the blessings that He so desires to give to you!
