Up North

My travels have taken my girlfriend and myself to Northern Australia. So much seen and so much more yet to be seen. So much learnt and so much more to learn and experience.

Sitting atop one of the mountains in the Flinders Rangers. It was a long, long walk up the mountain in Wilpena Pound. Cathy struggled a little but never gave up.Thankfully going down it was so much easier.

Cathy fishing the beach at Gunn Point near Darwin. It was a beautiful sunset. I caught a fine threadfin salmon and dinner was a taste sensation. Nothing beats freshly caught fish. Especially when you catch it yourself.

Looking down at the waterfall at Lawn Hill National Park in outback Queensland. Hiked up to the top of the gorge to take this photo. The next day we canoed the creek to the waterfall. Now that was spectacular. The water was beautiful and swimming in it is thoroughly refreshing. The park has a great campground with full facilities.

At Jim Jim Falls in Kakadu National Park with Cathy. One of my favourite places. You can walk right to the base of the falls. Some climbing over boulders is required but nothing too difficult. Once there you can either lie on the sandy beach or swim in the cold water. Or just watch the fish swimming. Either way it a great experience.
