Cycle of the Werewolf

Author: Stephen King
Pages: 128
Rating: 3/5
Read: 1

Cycle of the Werewolf was a very quick read, though its not something you'd pick up out of boredom, but something that you might enjoy reading during a weekend. It took me roughly an hour to finish.

There are twelve stories for the twelves months, each an incident in the town of Tarker Mills, where the story takes place. The werewolf started killing victims and livestock, mostly on the full moon of each month. Few months he stops.

Because of the murders, the firework celebration for the Fourth of July was cancelled. Disappointed, Marty Coslaw, a young boy, recieved fireworks from his uncle. In the middle of the night, he snuck out to light them. The werewolf spots him, but Marty uses Black Cats and busted the werewolf's eye, escaping with his life.

And there you must read.

There are beautiful and morbid illustrations by Berni Wrightson, which take most of the pages in the book. Some of the werewolf "facts" aren't correct, but in this case, does it matter?
