The Green Mile

Author: Stephen King
Pages: 536
Rating: 5/5
Read: 2

The Green Mile. This is the most emotionally brilliant book I've ever read. With some obsceneties and descriptions, this book isn't for the faint of heart. I cringed at Delecroix's execution. I teared when it came close to his DOE. I teared at John Coffey's execution. I teared when Mr. Jingles...well, read the book. Read the book.

Most of the criminals in the Green Mile are executed for rape and murder. And yet, reading this book, these criminals have feelings. At least Chief and Delecroix did. Delecroix had an innocent soul, though he did the things he did. He was so excited when he met Mr. Jingles, the mouse, and "taught" him tricks. Retrieving the thrown spool. Mr. Jingles is a circus mouse. He was so happy when he heard of "Mouseville" in California. Bienvenue au cirque du mousie.

Not many books make me hate certain characters to an extent as this one. Not many books make me feel for certain characters as this one. Thats the brilliance of it. Curse William Warton, I hated his guts. I hated Percy and his so-called "mistake" during the execution of Delecroix. I hated the people who yelled at John Coffey, shouting out to him to feel the pain.

This book was so sad. Read it now. I order you to.
