Parents Rant

Believe it or not, my parents rant to me. They don't hate each other or anything, they aren't one of those hating divorce parents, they just rant to me about the other. My mom rants to me about my dad. My dad rants to me about my mom.

My mom rants to me, usually, about how "mean" and "insensitive" my dad is. My dad is straight forward. He is sick and tired of stupidity. Because my mom is Japanese, she doesn't understand a lot of the things my dad is trying to say. And she doesn't listen to us. She just babbles on and on about what we did "wrong" and she doesn't even let anyone explain. I will try to tell her something, and describe it, and she won't even listen. I get into fights with her all the time. My dad just yells at her to listen, because she is afraid, I believe. I don't care about how "mean" my dad is though. I'm my father's apprentice. So I agree with him, just because I think he's right also.

My dad rants to me about how stupid my mom can be. Once he asked for a glass pitcher and a lemon/orange squeezer. Just two simple cheap things. And she goes out and buys a whole lemonade maker. What makes him angry is that he didn't need any of it. And its practically useless to him because its all plastic. Plastic things suck. He also rants to me about how she doesn't listen. This I can agree too. Because she doesn't. She just babbles on and on, not letting anything go. Someone would get in trouble, and even after its settles, twenty minutes later she will bring it up and start yelling again.

I take my dad's side, because I agree. Sometimes dad is mean. But one has to be mean. My dad tells the truth. If he's angry, you'll want to run and skiddaddle. So I run off. My mom rants to me about how mean he is. But neither of us care about some of the stories she says. I'm like my dad. I take his side.

But even if I agree with my dad, I don't care about any of their problems. I think my mom is stupid sometimes. I think my dad is mean sometimes. But I don't effing care.
