The Silver KissAuthor: Annette Curtis KlausePages: 198 Rating: 4.5/5 Read: 1 The Silver Kiss was a really sad book. It was the type of sad that would make one go "Awww, that's sad." And maybe if one is sensitive enough, one might shed a tear or two. At first, the book was really slow. Its written in two points of views, changing every chapter. First Zoe, then Simon, then Zoe, then Simon, going on and on. Zoe is a troubled girl. Her mother has cancer, and her father doesn't speak to her anymore. Zoe felt as if her father didn't care about her, only about her mom. Her best friend Lorraine is moving away, and so Zoe felt as if no one was going to be there for her anymore. Plus there are murders around her town and she could not walk about as she used to. And then she met Simon. This is where the books gets interesting. First at the park, then at the book store. He watched her. Soon they became friends, though Zoe didn't really trust him, after all, he looked like a shady guy. Soon she learned he was different and kind, and she invited him into her house. Then he told her everything. He revealed who he was. If you like vampires, you will like this book. Wow, big spoiler there, though it is obvious when you actually read it. Date: October 23, 2005 |
