There are a ton of cheap nitro tanks these days. They are decent, and work surprisingly well, but you can get better. The PMI is one of the good ones. These regs have a nice recharge rate and you can fire fast strings without any shoot down. A good thing about this tank is that the reg on it does not need oil or changing of parts so it does not break down as much as long as you have a nipple cover on the fill nipple to prevent dirt getting in. These tanks come in the following sizes: 47 ci 3k PSI which are steel and are very heavy, but very sturdy. There is a 68 CI 3k psi, and 4500 psi tank which are both fiber wrapped and so is its big brother the 114 ci. So why do poeple want 400+ dollar tanks? Cause they want as much performance as they can. I don't think more expensive tanks do much more than less expensive though. I have found that my tank performs just as good as my friends Armegeddon from Air America. I just don't see how an extra 200+ dollars will get you a better tank. From what I have seen, this is true. The PMI pure energy tanks come in a variety of prices and you can buy them at PaintballGear.com from around 170 to 300+. I suggest these tanks to anyone who is on a budget, or who doesn't want to spend a crap load of money for an expensive tank that is not needed. The chrono readings are pretty nice and acceptable.
