No Escape

There is a place, I have forgotten exactly where
In the darkness, souls yearn, making muffled cries
Growth and happiness stifled
Impeded by hopes and desires of others
The dead, mock existance
Whisper truths no onewants to hear
A hole, dark, dank, no hope of escape
What crime could be so terrible
What fate would be so cruel
Comprehension of something so terrible
Yet I am unable to find solace in that truth
Bound out of the obligation of genius, I am imprisoned
Incapable of change, in mind, in form
Do nothing but wait
Waiting for the temporary to be shed
For immortal to take form
In exit, drift into the unknown
Into the calm of blue
