Tied Down

Heavens proposal is sheer lunacy
I'll take the converse, thank you very much
Walk down the embankment to the ocean
We awaken, new to the world, in each others arms
I pray the skies canvas will hold
We wait for our chance to come
The suns golden glory purifies at the dawn
Have you ever questioned the grasses' intentions?
The white rock shattered my skull
I wrapped myself in your skin last night
Could you forgive my ignorance?
How do we address our grievances?
Oh, are we but slaves to destiny?
Free will is nothing but the illusion that we wear
