Patrick' s World
Patrick's Hobbies
In my sparetime I do a bunch of things. Obviously I spend a lot of time at the
computer, play, surf the net, look at other people's pages and work on my own
one. See what I like and what I don't.
Then I like travelling
quite a lot. This also includes moving from one place to another in general. For
shorter distances Iprefer cycling, inline-scating (Rollerblades only!) or running.
For larger distances I prefer driving, especially with my true Honda Prelude.
Yes, I'm particularly happy that I found such a great car, because I'm
a bit special with cars.
I definitely dislike public transportation
like trains and trams. Always late, going too seldom, much too expensive ... .
Hope that one day the Transrapid, a great and super-fast magnetic levitation train
will take off. But then again, I like planes and flying a lot.
Meeting my friends
is important, no matter wherever they live.
I do a some reading, mostly magazines, but also some
books.
Music
is essential, especially the one of the boss of the bosses,
Bruce Springsteen.
I love going to the movies, too. Action, Science Fiction and the like.
About sports: Yes, I mentioned running.
before, that's my basic sport. My favourite distance is 10k road race, but cross-country
races and distances up to half-marathon are fine with me. In 1997 I ran my 1st
Marathon in Köln, persuaded by some friends, and really made it, finishing
in 4:11h!
I also do squash, canoeing,
volleyball, table tennis, skiing and rambling. Not
everything at the same time, of course.
Oh, now I forgot to mention
Ultimate Frisbee.
After all this workout of course one shouldn't forget to relax a bit and enjoy
eating nice things. When I am in England,
British Breakfast is one of my favourites.
And Fish & Chips with cider are great, especially after running.
I also shouldn't miss mentioning my most basic nutrition,
chocolate.
When it comes to being creative, I like painting, blu-tak-art and taking pictures.
