Animal Life on Paper and Canvas |

Hello, and thank you for your interest in the current work of Pablo Dominguez. A highlight for Pablo last year was traveling out west to big sky country, Montana. He packed up art materials and camera and made the cross country drive, with stops including South Dakota's Badlands, Cody Wyoming, and of course Yellowstone National Park. The landscape is simply awe inspiring and the wildlife is highly visible in Yellowstone, so naturally Pablo feels drawn to attempt painting what he saw and felt while visiting there, and his future work will reflect this. While in Montana, Pablo was fortunate enough to study with famed artist Terry Isaac, in a workshop at the Beartooth School of Art. The opportunity to meet and learn with other wildlife artists in a casual environment was an exciting and invaluable experience. Pablo's work in the near future will include paintings of bear, bison, and birds of prey, done in the acrylic medium. Currently on his easel is a 15"x17" portrait of an adult redtail hawk. All of his painting is supplemented by constant sketching and drawing. Look for new work to be posted on this site in the months to come.
