3 Days Express Uganda Safari:

Lake Mburo National Park

 

Introduction:

Lake Mburo National Park, Uganda's fourth National park was gazzeted in 1982.The park covers an area surface of 256km sq and it is the only park to contain an entire lake. It offers varied scenic beauty hills and valleys.

 

Access:

The park is 230 km by road from Kampala. The open corridor of Mbarara- Masaka road leads you to this beautiful scenic park you will stop at Kayobwe 72 kms from Kampal to physically cross the Equator and take pictures.

 

Attractions:

Include, Zebra, Impala, Topis, Wipsprings, Elands, Buffaloes, Hippos,Crocodiles, and a variety of bird species.

 

Itinerary:

Day 1: You leave your Kampala Hotel after breakfast and proceed to the park via Masaka. Stop over at the drum shop and the Equator. Lunch is at the Lake View Hotel in Mbarara . Come back to the park and proceed for a game drive lasting until evening. Dinner and overnight at the Rwonyo rest camp in a banda.

 

Day 2: After breakfast go for sailing on Lake Mburo. Proceed for another game drive with a picnic lunch. Return to the park HQs at 6 pm and proceed to Lake View Hotel for dinner and overnight.

 

Day 3: After a leisurely breakfast tour Mbarara municipal town visiting the cultural sites of the Banyankole, Mbarara university of science and technology, Ntare High School-where Uganda's President Yoweri Museveni studied. After lunch leave Mbarara to come back to Kampala arriving in the evening.

 

Cost: US$ 402 per person for two pax
