Absurd Person Singular
Cast
Lesley
Wolowiec has gone from playing the academic sleuth in the recent Agatha
Crispie to the empty headed housewife in today’s performance. She comes from a dramatic family having met her husband Jaczek at a
school performance where he was handling the technical bits as he is
today.
Andrew
Leach is a long serving member of PaDS having being involved in acting and
producing since the early 1980s. His recent roles include Hecules
Greycells in ‘Agatha Crispie’ and as the sailor in the Victorian
Melodramas. Such are his talents that he is sometimes loaned to other
groups for a considerable fee.
Maggie
Drake has become typecast as an alchaholic – can’t think why. Her
recent roles were as the drunken wife in ‘Seasons Greetings’ and today
as the drunken wife once again. She has performed for PaDS in many roles
for many years (she started as a child actress!) Maggie’s other skills
include set painting.
This
is Lynne Gibson’s second appearance in a PaDS production. The first was
as the ‘born again virgin’ in a Victorian melodrama. Since then she
has gone downhill badly performing today as a neurotic, pill swallowing
wife. Lynne is also responsible for make up and costumes.
Grant Ninnes is
a migrant from Canada stooping off in Painswick for a few years to enjoy
the warmer climate! He often stars in the more amorous roles for PaDS. He
performed last year as the writer in Seasons Greetings and this year as
poor Eva’s philandering husband.
Kevin
Parker is a veteran of PaDs recent performances. He has played a wide
range of roles from the evil villain Sir Eustace Makepiece to the cranky
evil old Uncle Harvey in ‘Seasons Greetings’. He also directed the
widely acclaimed (well by him anyway) recently staged Agatha Crispie.
Jack Burgess is
a key figure in the re-birth of PaDS. He has directed two reviews’ a couple of Victorian melodramas and last Christmas’s
Ayckbourn comedy. Some memorably over-the-top performances include Scrooge
in Christmas Carol and a
pathetic Archibald in Agatha Crispie. Many years ago in a far off land, he was also a particularly
libidinous Geoff in Absurd Person
Singular.
