Last night was a whirlwind of activity with Michael, and this morning started off with him bouncing on the bed and singing. Obviously in a good mood, he was trying to *help* me wake up. I can't help but smile when I think of it, though.
Last night I was trying to remember to observe his behavior and facial expressions, to see rather than ask whether he was happy. One thing I saw was that he seems to like to make me laugh. Whether its telling a joke, gently embarrassing me, or tickling me until my "toes fall off," it seemed that he got a good deal of pleasure from it.
We watched two DVD videos last night and we were both impressed by the whole DVD experience. The pictures are so clear, even on pause. The sound blows us away and it's barely even turned up. We were about to get ready for sleep and he started tickling me... and tickling me... but I accept responsibility for my part in egging him on. It was just so fun, and my heart was full. I have no words to express how much joy I felt last night.
Everywhere I go I still have that silly grin on my face, and I am deliriously happy with Michael. I remember last night, right at the edge of consciousness before falling asleep, I whispered to him, "I really really love you." He said, "I love you" and reached out to touch me. It was so beautiful that if I had not drifted off right away, I might have cried.
I realize that we are in our "honeymoon" period, and I am savoring it for all I'm worth. It has not even been a whole week that we've been living together -- he moved in last Thursday and today is Wednesday -- so things are still brand new, but they are getting more and more comfortable. I've already learned a little how to tell when he's teasing me. Sometimes I still get it confused, but I am learning.
Goddess grant us abundance, happiness, and peace. We have both been through so much already in our lives; we both deserve those blessings.
