Our group went to a market on this day. The market was made of hundreds of little shops, all squished together as close as possible.
It was an open-air market that used the bargaining system. In other words, if the vendor told me the price was ten dollars, I would say that I would pay five dollars. Then we would bargain some more before coming to a final price of seven dollars. My friends and I teased each other that when we got back to the States, we would try to bargain at the cash register in Wal-Mart. Can you imagine the response we would receive!?!?
My group took Bible tracts with us, which we handed out to people that we purchased things from. Most were very thankful and some even began reading the tracts immediately.
