Basically...
This is a quick overview of what the days I spent in Ecuador were like.
I woke up at 7:00 A.M. to be ready for breakfast at 7:30 A.M. After breakfast, everyone had thirty minutes to finish getting ready for the day, to have devotions, or to spend with friends. Then our teams met together (there were fifteen teams in all...each team had about thirty people in it) for devotions. When that was done, we got ready to leave. Most of the time, we left the hotel where we were staying at 9:00 A.M.
Each day our ministry project was different. We returned to the hotel anywhere from 3:00 P.M. until 5:00 P.M. Supper was around 6:00 P.M. Both breakfast and supper were very exciting because we never knew just what we were going to be eating. One morning, for example, we were served scrambled eggs mixed with ham and bananas! Anyway, after supper we had until 7:30 P.M. to do whatever we felt like. At 7:30 P.M. were our FUAGNEM (Fired Up and Going Nuts Every Minute) meetings. Everyone would gather for a time of praise and worship, announcements, and an amazing Bible study. We had to be in our rooms by 11:00 P.M., but could stay up as late as we wanted. My roommates and I were usually exhausted and went to bed pretty quickly!
Each day was a new adventure, a new opportunity to serve God, a new chance to see Him work. I would like to share each of my days in Ecuador with you, telling you not only about what we did, but also about what our marvelous God did.
