ASILO dE HUERTANOS
It was here that the "La Independencia," the voice of the revolutionary government, was printed. It was also where the orphans of the plague of 1882 were housed.

It is a well kept and unique conservatory of both endemic and exotic animals, including a large variety of unusual fishes, stashed inside a one-hectare tropical rainforest environment. An amusing destination for the old and the young, it indulges its visitors with the distinct privilege to pet wild animals that normally avoid human contact. The zoo is an accommodating classroom for nature lovers as it educates people on the environmental preservation of forests and wildlife.

SAN BARTOLOME CHURCH

The original Malabon church was built in 1813-1861 and stood as the tallest and largest church in the country then.

This church was known as one of the highest and biggest churches of the nineteenth century christian world and said to have rivaled the Manila Cathedral in grandeur. The church was ravaged and floundered during the 1898 Revolution. Only one removable silver altar was recovered of the total six. The present San Bartolome Church, in its simple white patina and ongoing restoration still remind us of its grand and rich religious past.
