Antique Car II

Antique Car

I made this project entirely from the picture below. This was the challenge project from 2 years ago. It has spoked wooden wheels that I made myself and the reason I made the wheels myself was because at the time I couldn't find wheels that looked like that. But, of course, about a month later, I found out where I could have bought some. It has a slumped rear windshield made out of restoration glass. The seats front and back have a curvature to make it look like a cushion which I also fused. The rear doors open and close and the hood is multi-segmented (there are about 8 joints on it). The fenders "float" to the side of the car suspended by wire. The bulk of the glass is Armstrong blue cathedral irises. Using this type of glass makes the project a little harder because the iridescence always has to be on the outside. Therefore, some pieces have to be a mirror image.

Old Car Drawing

This is the drawing that I worked from.

By the way, the drawing didn't say exactly what type of car this is. If anyone knows the name of this car, please email me so that I can rename it. Thanks in advance.
