Kaleidoscope

This one was an experiment. I wanted to see if I can make my own image wheel, while I was at it I tried a different mirror combination and a stand.

This just didn't come out as I wanted it, first of all, I tried using 4 mirrors in a square shape instead of a triangle. Although the image is sharp it repeats in a big square instead of a circle. The wheel was way to big, it needed a lot more stuff inside that I thought it would need. The kaleidoscope was also way to heavy, it's hard to keep it up in the air. The patina I used (Jax pewter), for some reason, makes my hand smell strange after using it.

But all in all the stand came out all right, I used a band saw to cut out large "V's" to support the scope.
