Tresaure chest open

This is a box that I made in for Christmas (2000/2001) for one of my bosses. The chest has a red iridescent trim, with clear driftwood glass. I chose the colors because I thought it would look nice together. Originally the colors were going to be dark brown, with the same red glass for the trim. He's a guy, those are guy's color, it's a treasure chest, it would work. Until I went through the glass that I had, the brown was the wrong shade, and I really didn't like the brown. I came across the clear, I almost forgot about the clear that I had. It works well. I didn't know it worked so well, until the christmas party.

They invited us to their house. There was my box, on this nifty table they found at a road side. The colors couldn't have worked any better. Even the patina chosen matched the table they placed it on.
