Behind the bench:
Behind the bench I keep the bulk of my glass. It's jammed pack full of milk crate boxes. Each box has it's own purpose.
The ones in the very back (near the wall), I keep all my antique glass (from top to bottom, filled to the brim). Mainly it's there because I don't use antique that much.
The next ones in contain my large and small pieces of iridescent. I decided to move as much of it as I could to one location. It makes it much easier to find things.
I have another box that has just clear glass, another for just colored mirror, and another that has alot of gray baroque iridescent color that I got from somewhere.
Other boxes have just 12" x 12" sheets (mostly Armstrong). The other "sized" boxes are 12" x 16" and 8" x 12".
The rest of the boxes contain smaller parts of glass too large to put in as scrap, but too small to put anywhere else. Doing it this way ensures me that the glass won't get as scratched up.
Closest to us is my electric zinc miter saw. Behind it is my quick fire 6 kiln (my marsh mellow kiln). I don't use it much, but when I do I have to make sure it's free of any sawdust (it's right behind the saw).
Directly above the kiln, I have another drawer box. This has kiln items, like small fusible glass, millifori, stringers, grinder parts, old soldering tips, and stuff like that.
On the rear wall I have a large oil tank which takes up a lot of room, but at least It keeps the house warm. Above the tank, I built this unit. It contains glass as large as 20" x 20". The doors are bi-folded (so I don't hit my self in the head when I open it). The whole thing is painted white, to get as much reflectivity as I can.
