I ran out of space inside the house. Pictures you havn't seen are the tools and supplies I have that are in the closet and furnace room. The furnace room contains, hand planes, larger hand tools, caulk, battery chargers, pipe benders, pipe threaders, sand paper, snips and a few broken tools. The closet holds onto my saws, empty tool boxes, and misc. junk.
This cabinet holds onto the stuff that I don't use everyday. It holds the boxes of electrical outlets, plumbing connectors, more empty tool boxes, cloth (velvet for the glass work), staple box, tack box, peg-board hook box, misc hardware box, misc hardware, styrofoam and more.
The cabinet was built by me using 2x4's and 1/2" plywood. It's enclosed on all sides. The roof overhangs the doors to keep out the water. I built it as large as I could. It's 8ft long, 7ft high, and 3ft wide. The doors in the center twisted a little, but it's ok (though I rather it was straight). The main posts were half-lapped and fitted into the half lapped shelves. The whole unit is snug and strong. Large hinges on the doors, attached with carriage bolts, covered with plywood for extra security. It's painted with exterior, all weather gloss paint, coated twice front, back and inside. So far it's about 3 years old, and the inside is still dry.
The other side holds my shells, empty containers, and a few other things.
