The first Ballade in g is one of the most frequently heard.
From its opening dramatic octaves, through its heart throb
melodies, through its bravura passages, the musical expression
is direct and effective.

This work was written 1845-46 and is considered to be one of
Chopin´s finest compositions.
- Etude in c, Op.
10, No. 12
This piece is called the "Revolutionary" Etude
because Chopin wrote it after
his country was invaded by russian forces.
