Song: Unchained Melody TO GRANDMA C'S Hidden Treasures Of The Heart Story Of The Two Vases Someone asked me if addicts and alcoholics would ever be whole and alright again. I thought for a moment. Then I let go. I listened within myself--and began to tell a story. Well, let's suppose that there are two beautiful flower vases made of the finest china. Both are wonderfully carved--elegant and beautiful. Then a wind blows and one of them falls from its stand by the window. It shatters on the floor. A special craftswoman is called--famous for piecing together the shattered and broken... Step by Step, she glues the pieces back together with the most patient and intricate of care. Soon the broken vase is intact again. It can hold water and the most delicate of roses--without leaking. It is unblemished to all who see and admire it. Yet this vase is now different from the other one--not better, not worse. The lines upon which it had broken, a subtle reminder of yesterday, will always remain discernible to an experienced and knowing eye. But, this matters not to either the vase or the discerning wise person. It has a wisdom now. The vase knows something that the unbroken one will never know: it knows what it is to break and what it is to have come together again--to be transformed--by the wisdom of its broken places. It knows--as its own found nature--the spirit of the glue and from whence it comes. Strong, strong in the broken places. It is grateful for this transformation. Arthor Unknown What Is In You The good you find in others, is in you too. The faults you find in others, are your faults as well. After all, to recognize something you must know it. The possibilities you see in others, are possible for you as well. The beauty you see around you, is your beauty. The world around you is a reflection, a mirror showing you the person you are. To change your world, you must change yourself. To blame and complain will only make matters worse. Whatever you care about, is your responsibility. What you see in others, shows you yourself. See the best in others, and you will be your best. Give to others, and you give to yourself. Appreciate beauty, and you will be beautiful. Admire creativity, and you will be creative. Love, and you will be loved. Seek to understand, and you will be understood. Listen, and your voice will be heard. Teach, and you will learn. Show your best face to the mirror, and you'll be happy with the face looking back at you. Arthor Unknown Do you like this site? Tell a friend!
