Greetings... and Welcome! This is
my personal website..... my little
garden world. Here you will find some of my writings and topics that interest
me. The site is in continual transition and formation, and you shall see
the areas of the website change and develop. If you have any questions or
requests for the website, constructive comments, please add them
to the guestbook or email me privately.
It was requested of me to add
a short bio with nudges from friends, family and
others who have visited my garden... I no longer keep a photo of myself on the
website.
My story starts long, long, long,
long ago... in Ann Arbor, Michigan; then being transplant at age two in
Tucson, Az. I've lived here in Tucson since, with a brief period of time
in High School when I lived up the road in Phoenix. I currently live in Tucson with my two
sons,
and our 8 cats (we had 13 at one time).
Where
did the nickname Rosebud come from? A flower that was once given to me
as a gift. Ever since, sterling silver roses have been my
favorite rose. In the past some of my closest and dearest
friends referenced to me as, Rosebud. Some of my family members
followed suit. It is now the name that is used on the
internet.
I enjoy being
creative through my art. To me, works of art, in varies forms, are gifts
to the world. Music and dancing are a special treat for me. My
tastes in music varies... ranging from Classical to Classic Rock. I love listening to Blues and Celtic
music. I rarely listen to the radio, though generally have music playing.
I like finding new songs, or to find new music or rediscover
a song that I like... though I do have my all-time favorites.
I love expressing and playing with words, it's a pleasure
of mine to express the creativity, an avenue to self expression and perspectives
which I've come into contact with. Deemed with the term, "word
art". Many of my creative writings can be quite complex to multiple
situations and experiences throughout my life. Most hold personal
meanings which are like markings along my path. It's pleasing to find
others that take time to read them and find ones that hold meaning to
them. I often find poetry to be like a mirror into one's current point
in life. Each time I read a poem, it brings different or new
perspectives of myself. The words remain the same, but the meaning
changes or brings new aspects to focus.
It
has been a few years, but I also draw (pen & ink, pencil).
I've worked in ceramics, weaving, textiles, needle work, candle making, jewelry
making, and beads.
My chosen religious
path or preference, is Paganism. I am a Witch, and
consider myself "born a witch". My interests in mythology and the occult
started when I was rather young and was nurtured with the interests of my
parents. I tend to focus more on spirituality and
the natural aspects of Life. In 1992, started working with the "formalize" practice of the Wiccan religion. For several years I worked
with few local covens, assisting in the teaching of local 101 classes,
and efforts in networking pagan contacts. Currently, I walk a solitary path
and have not applied the term 'Wicca or Wiccan" to my personal path in
several years, and prefer the term pagan witch.
Much of what I've placed
in the Religion area is a compiled generalization of Wiccan/Pagan information,
please note that some of it is editorialize.
