Karla, called the Grey Witch, is one of the original Six Heroes. She is the last desendant of Kastuul, the Kingdom of Sorcery. To keep Lodoss from the same fate as Kastuul, she devoted herself to keeping the power balanced on Lodoss. She has intervened in Lodoss' history for the past 500 years and has done so by using the circlet on her forehead to possess people, thus making her immortal. She feels wars are good for Lodoss as the power will keep shifting.
