This is where we sleep every night. I (Jax) crawl in first at 7PM and then I cheep for Pippy to come in. I only have to cheep a couple times and he crawls in. We stay in here till about 6AM every morning. That's Pippy with his eye open. I'm in front of Pippy but it's alittle hard to see much more than the back of my head.

Jax and Pippy

Jax and Pippy are both 2 year old now (as of July 99). They're both males and they are housed together. They get along better than my male-female pairs, which some people didn't believe could happen. Male parrotlets are supposed to fight all the time, even killing one another. At least that was the rumor. But these two were put together when they were just 5 months old and there were only a couple instances of bickering in two years. Both times it was over in about 2 minutes with no harm done. My male-female pairs bicker all the time and make up, just about daily. These two don't do that. They are inseperable. So much for the rumor mill!

I'm keeping these two together and not getting them mates. They have such a great relationship and are so bonded to each other it would be a shame to split them up.

Jax cheeping here. That's me and my best bud Pippy. I'm on the left. Pippy used to be fat at first cause he ate alot but now he's not.

Here's Pippy when he was outside on the balcony.

Here's Jax when he was about 5 months old. You can see some of his pin feathers. Aren't I cute?

I will always love you Jax! --Mom

A Few More

I found a few more photos of Jax & Pippy. I never had very many. Even tho Jax is at the Rainbow Bridge now I thought to include these here anyways. Jax and Pippy stayed fantastic buds till the end. Jax got very sick and it happened really fast, there was nothing the Vets could do to save him. He is missed greatly. It was a tough adjustment for Pippy. In both these photos Jax is on the left and Pippy on the right. They were camera shy:)
