This Indenture made the 13th day of August 1833 Between Anderson Turbyfill of the county of Lincoln in the State of North Carolina of the one part and Hugh Sherrill of the county and State aforesaid of the other part Witnesseth that the said Anderson Turbyfill for and in consideration of the Stipulation hereinafter set forth and of the sum of one Dollar the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged hath given granted bargained and sold aliened and confirmed and by these presents doth give grant bargain sell alien and confirm unto the said Hugh Sherrill his heirs and assigns forever all that      or parcel of land lying situate in the county & State aforesaid on the waters of Mountain creek Begining at a Spanish Oak & runs N. 15 E 171 poles to a post oak then E. 60 poles to a hickory thence North 75 E 48 poles to a hickory Turbyfills corner then North 20 W. 172 poles to a white oak then North 72 E. 48 poles to a Black oak then N. 18 W. 98 poles to a pine thence to the Beginning containing 149 acres the land whereon the said Anderson Turbyfill now lives Now the said Hugh Sherrill for the benefit of and to secure William Long of the county and State aforesaid who went Anderson Turbufills security to a certain Isaac Ward for 150 dollars and interest may at any time either at publick or private sale as he may deem best may sell and dispose of the said land or any part thereof to apply towards the payment of the debtor debts aforsd and expenses growing from the trust the balance of any to pay over to the said Anderson Turbyfill his heirs and assigns It is further Stilpulated & agreed that the land aforesaid shall remain in the possession ^ ^{& use} of the said Anderson Turbyfill But that he shall Quietly surrender the land or any part thereof whenever required by the said Hugh Sherrill In Witness whereof the said Anderson Turbyfill hath hereunto set his hand & Seal the day and Year first above written.
