This Indenture made the 18th day of January AD 1823 Between Thomas Harwell of the County of Lincoln & State of North Carolina of the one part and Reuben Fisher of the County and state aforesaid of the other part Witnesseth that the said Thomas Harwell for and in consideration of the sum of Two Hundred and eighty Dollars to him in hand paid by the said Reuben Fisher the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged Hath given granted bargained & Sold and by these presents doth give grant bargain sell alien and confirm unto the said Reuben Fisher his heirs and assigns forever a parcel of land in said County of Lincoln and on the waters of the Catawba river Bounded as follows Begining at a small white oak the Widow Abernathys South East corner runs thence N. 70 poles to two white oaks saplings Frederick Harwells corner the North 72 E 100 poles to a rock & Stake then North 63 poles to a post oak Loftons corner then with his line So. 89. W. 94 poles to a Black oak John Fishers corner then with his line S. 1. E. 29. Poles to a Stake said Fishers corner then W 87. poles to a small Chesnut in the lane then South 93 poles to a Sassafras the Widow Abernathys corner then E 53 poles to a Stake thence South 34 W. 37. poles to a Maple in the meadow then S. 45 E. 34 poles to a Stake in the meadow then N 86 E 35 poles to the Begining Containing by Estimation 118 acres be the same more or less with all appurtenances privileges & Commodities to the same belonging or in any wise appertaining and all rents issues and profits of the said premises and every part thereof and all the Estate title interest claim and demand whatsoever of the said Thomas Harwell of in and to the land and premises and every part thereof
