This Indenture made the 18th day of January AD 1827 Between Aaron Sherrill of the County of Lincoln & State of North Carolina of the one part & Richard Fisher of the County & State aforesaid of the other part Witnesseth that the said Aaron Sherrill for and in consideration of the sum of 100 Dollars in hand paid by the said Richard Fisher the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged hath given granted Bargained & Sold and by these presents doth give grant bargain sell alien & Confirm unto the said Richard Fisher his heirs and assigns forever part of a tract of land formerly granted to the said Aaron Sherrill by Deed on Conveyance made to the said Aaron by Jefferson Wo[rk?] on the waters of Mountain creek in the county of Lincoln and Bounded as followeth Viz Begining at a poplar M^cCorkles corner on Archibald Flemings line thence with said line 34 poles to a red oak Sapling then a new line N 21 W 27 poles to a pine Sapling then N 21. E 61. poles to a post oak on Mason Harwells line Thence East 18. poles to a Stake on M^cCorkles old line Then South 2 East Stricking said Fishers corner and following his line to the Beginning containing by Estimation 18 acres be the same more or less to have & To Hold The aforesaid tract or parcel of land with all its Appurtenances Advantages and improvements unto the said Richard Fisher his heirs and assigns forever from the said Aaron Sherrill his heirs Executors and assigns and from all and every person or persons Claiming or To claim hereafter by Virtue of said Aaron Sherrill The said Aaron Sherrill Covenants and agrees for himself his heirs Executors Admrs and assigns to and with the said Richard Fisher that he the said Aaron Sherrill & his heirs will warrant and forever defend the said land & premises unto the said Richard Fisher his heirs and assigns forever In Witness whereof the said Aaron Sherrill hath hereunto set his hand and affixed his seal the day & year first above written
